Wacken, not only a small community with about 2000 inhabitants in the north of Germany, but also the venue of one of the biggest metal festivals in the world.

In 1990 they started with nine bands, in 2017 they had increased to more than 170 bands. Every year, fans from all over the world make a pilgrimage to the small village in northern Germany, whose name has now reached cult status.

The following bands concerning Nordic Metal have already confirmed (In alphabetic order):

Alfahanne (SWE), Amaranthe (SWE), Amorphis (FIN), Arch Enemy (SWE), Backyard Babies (SWE), Blues Pills (SWE), Bömbers (NOR), Children of Bodom (FIN), Clawfinger (SWE), Dimmu Borgir (NOR), Enslaved (NOR), Gaahl’s Wyrd (NOR), Ghost (SWE), Grave Pleasures (FIN), In Flames (SWE), Korpiklaani (FIN), Nightwish (FIN), Nocturnal Rites (SWE), Sarke (NOR), Sólstafir (ISL), Trollfest (NOR), Watain (SWE) and Wintersun (FIN).

More bands will be added over time, we are curious what those will be.
