BIOGRAPHY
Founded in 1997, STALA & SO. is known for melodic rock tunes and positive attitude.
STALA & SO. is making music professionally and also having fun with it. The late Finnish comedian, Spede Pasanen, said: “The main thing is to have FUN!”. This has been, and continues to be, the guideline for the band as well.
In the beginning of 2011 the band became familiar to the Finnish tv-viewing people by taking part in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest. They made their way to the national finals. There is also one ESC 2006 winner in the band’s line up. After the Eurovision show it was time for the Finnish release of their self-written, -recorded and -produced debut album “It Is So.“
On October 24th the Japanese record company, King Records, released the “It Is So.“ -album in Japan and South-East Asia. The German-based music company, Music Buy Mail, released the album in Europe and South America on September. In the fall of 2011 the band recorded five new songs and those were released as an EP, titled “Gimme Five”. The band toured in Europe with Vain (US) throughout March 2012. This was STALA & SO.‘s first international tour and they played in countries like Great Britain, Germany, Belgium and Scandinavia.
During the songwriting and the pre-production for the new album, the American top-producer, Beau Hill, contacted the band and wanted to do some co-operation. Beau Hill has produced several multi-million selling album in the hard rock history, from the bands like Ratt, Europe, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister and Warrant. As a result of this fruitful co-operation with STALA & SO., Beau Hill mixed the first single, “Rock Until I’m Done”, from the upcoming album.
The second STALA & SO. -album, titled “Play Another Round“, was released on Feb 22nd 2013 in Finland. On the first week the album debuted 43rd on the Finnish album chart. At the end of February the band signed a deal with the British record company, Escape Music Ltd for a European release of the new album. The release date was April 12th 2013. STALA & SO. did also a two-week tour in UK with Shameless and Tuff in the fall 2013.
The songwriting for the third album began in the spring of 2014. The first single, “Shine Out”, was released on Aug. 21st 2014, on the Night of the Arts-event in Helsinki. The band celebrated the release on that day by doing seven acoustic shows in the row. The media was interested and the band got a good coverage in the media and gathered lots of people to the shows.
The second single and video, “When The Night Falls”, was released on March 16th, 2015.
The third album, titled Stala & SO., was released throughout the Europe on Aug. 21st 2015. The Finnish release came a week after that, on Aug. 28th. The band is promoting their new album by doing the tour in Finland on September and October 2015.

Third self-titled album by Finnish hard rock band STALA & SO. released in August 21, 2015. It was mastered at Virtalähde Mastering, and produced at SMF-Studio by Sampsa Astala.
In August 23, 2014 the band released the single “Shine Out”, and next single called “When The Night Falls” was released in March 2015.
Leena Peisa (ex LORDI – known as Lady Awa de Paysant) plays keyboards in the songs “The Girl With Guilty Eyes” and “Living For Today”.

“Play Another Round” is the second album from Finnish hard rock band STALA & SO. released on February 22nd, 2013. The album’s first single “Rock Until I’m Done” was released on November 7, 2012. Single was mixed by American top producer Beau Hill, who has produced and mixed many top artists such as Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister and Europe. The band continued working with Beau Hill on the album as well.
At the beginning of February, another single, “The Boys Are Having Fun”, and a music video from the same track were released.
