BIOGRAPHY

Paara is a Black/Folk metal band from Finland. With a unique blend of raw black metal and melodic folk elements, their music captures the essence of Finnish folklore and imagery visited in their lyrics, and creates an inimitable sound and experience for the listener.

The band was formed in 2011 in southern Finland. They released their first single Paara in 2012, their first full album  Yön Olevainen Puoli in 2015 and their latest full length album Riitti in 2018. They are currently working on new material for their third full length album.

Though Yön olevainen puoli was a great album, Riitti brought Paara‘s sound to a whole new level. Hahtezan (a.k.a. Natalie Koskinen) joined as a full member and they experimented more with Zvartus’s clean vocals. There was more expansion in general with the sound and various elements branching out more to acoustic and folk. It was released in early 2018 by ViciSolum productions and was followed by a short Finnish tour with Wormwood and Hyperion.
