“Killection” is the tenth studio album by the Finnish hard rock/melodic heavy metal band LORDI. It was released on January 31, 2020 via AFM Records. The album is a “fictional compilation” containing songs that the band would have written between the early 70’s through the mid-90’s.

It debuted at number 8 on the Official Finnish chart, and number 1 on the physical album chart.

Recording

The album was recorded in several studios all over Finland, including Tornio, Helsinki and Tampere. Each studio recorded 3-4 tracks. The band recorded some of the songs at the Tornio Music Center. Tornio is an integral part of  LORDI‘s history, as the band’s first demos were recorded in the city in 1993. A bass guitar used by Gene Simmons from KISS was also used for the recordings. There are multiple producers involved in the album.
